![]() | I was born in Mainz, Germany in 1972. I have been drawing since kindergarten, where I could mainly be found drawing skulls and hooks, to the irritation of some adults. I grew up in the countryside, where I fashioned my own toys out of sticks and spent lots of time hanging out in treehouses.I studied at Art Center College of Design near Montreux, Switzerland and later in Pasadena, California, where I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design in 1998. Afterwards I worked as an Art Director for several agencies designing corporate designs and websites for clients large and small. During this time I also got to work on some illustration jobs for eLearning programs and presentations. In 2009, I illustrated my first trade picture book for Balzer & Bray that was followed by a sequel in 2010, 2013 I developed a Trade Picture book for Simon & Schuster. Now I am working as a freelance illustrator in Frankfurt, where I work on a variety of projects, ranging from creating murals to graphic recording.
