Daniel Jennewein

I was born in Mainz, Germany in 1972. I have been drawing since kindergarten, where I could mainly be found drawing skulls and hooks, to the irritation of some adults. I grew up in the countryside, where I fashioned my own toys out of sticks and spent lots of time hanging out in treehouses.
I studied at Art Center College of Design near Montreux, Switzerland and later in Pasadena, California, where I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design in 1998.
Afterwards I worked as an Art Director for several agencies designing corporate designs and websites for clients large and small. During this time I also got to work on some illustration jobs for eLearning programs and presentations.
In 2009, I illustrated my first trade picture book for Balzer & Bray that was followed by a sequel in 2010, 2013 I developed a Trade Picture book for Simon & Schuster. Now I am working as a freelance illustrator in Frankfurt, where I work on a variety of projects, ranging from creating murals to graphic recording.
